In this first CD Vol. 1 of 2002 David has selected many of the International hits of his beloved idols and friends from Cuba, the singing husband and wife team of Olga Chorens and Tony Alvarez. Here are the musical track selections, including some songs of Edith Piaf, all performed in Spanish with the exception of David's own theme song which is done in English and Spanish as a bonus track.

The legendary David de Alba was known for taking song requests from his audience while on stage. Most of the time he worked with a live band and could accommodate the requests. After the success of his first four CDs released this Year, 2002, he has received many requests for some additional numbers. David dedicates this CD, recorded in May of 2002 in his Arizona studio, to the memory of the fans and friends who followed him during his SF Bay Area performances and to the new fans acquired since his award winning Web site was launched in January of 1998.

In the Year 2003 the legendary David de Alba, in collaboration with former Carnegie Hall concert pianist Linda La Blanche, recorded on this CD a selection of Classic Pop Spanish and English songs never performed on stage by Mr. de Alba and now are part of his vast repertoire. All of the musical arrangements were created and played by Miss La Blanche, with the exception of the Bonus Track which was conducted by Bill Bullard on the piano backed up by tenor sax, bass and drums. Tracks 2 and 23 were recorded 'live' at a private convention in the Tri-State area of Nevada.

"My Latin Roots" as 'Boy-Chic' marks David de Alba's 12th CD as of August, 2007. This CD would not have been possible without the magnificent musical backing and special arrangements (tracks 1 - 8) rendered by Miss Linda La Blanche, who also designed the CD cover. Also a special thanks to Eduardesign of Miami for providing a rare recording of 'Esto es Felicidad" which helped Miss La Blanche compose a special arrangement for Mr. de Alba, a song he always wanted to sing.
This CD contains songs that are seldom heard nowadays, but were very popular in their time. Mr. de Alba decided to bring them back with his unique song styling. Listen to Track 2 of this CD at bottom of page.
